Passavant Memorial Homes (PMH) operates over 140 licensed community residential homes throughout western and central Pennsylvania, providing supportive environments for individuals with intellectual disabilities, autism, and behavioral health needs through our qualified and trained Direct Support Professionals (DSPs).
What makes Passavant Memorial Homes a unique provider are the tailored supports provided by customizing and individualizing the environment to reach the goal of empowering individual success.
What is a Community Residential Home?
Individuals living within a PMH Community Residential Home are located within their local community and enjoy sharing their home with friends and loved ones. They live in residential neighborhoods with individualized staff support. Every individual is encouraged to enjoy a variety of vocational, recreational, leisure, and spiritual opportunities to foster independence and empower autonomy set by the individual and their team. Support for individuals includes, but is not limited to:
- Supervision and training in the activities of daily living
- Support with personal hygiene and care
- Socialization and community activities
- Assistance with educational needs
- Meal planning and preparation
- Medication administration
Transportation is always available, and DSPs assist as individuals choose and participate in events and activities in areas of personal interest with groups, friends, and family members. Transportation is provided to work, training programs, school, community groups and organizations, and all necessary professional and medical appointments. PMH strives to ensure that everyone’s wants and needs are adequately supported.
