Passavant Memorial Homes is currently seeking responsible, caring, and dedicated people to fill Therapeutic Staff Support (TSS) part-time positions.
Therapeutic Staff Support positions play a crucial role in fulfilling the mission of Passavant Memorial Homes by providing quality support services one-on-one with children in the home or community setting. This includes activities such as preparing meals, administering medication, and providing transportation to work or community activities. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE THERAPEUTIC STAFF SUPPORT (TSS):
- Provide direct care services and specialized care in daily living, social and recreational activities.
- Provide assistance and support to foster maximum independence of individuals.
- Participate in the development and implementation of the individual support plan.
- Ensure the safety and well-being of the individuals.
- Assist and encourage individuals to engage in various activities in the home and community.
- Observe individuals’ behaviors and changes in physical condition, utilize prescribed strategies to assist the individual, and document and report accordingly.
- Administer medications (upon completion of certification; all necessary training is provided).
- Maintain various records regarding individuals.
- Perform needed housekeeping and cleaning duties (home and vehicle).
REQUIRED SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE OF THE THERAPEUTIC STAFF SUPPORT (TSS):
- Minimum of 21 years of age, required.
- Valid Pennsylvania driver’s license, required.
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in a related field.
- Experience working with children with intellectual disabilities.
OR
- Associates degree or 60 credit hours from an accredited college or university in a related field.
- Experience working with children with intellectual disabilities.

*Prospective employees hired for a Full‐Time Direct Support Position will receive a $500 sign‐on bonus. New employee will receive the first $250 after completion of 30 calendar days of employment. The second $250 will be awarded after completion of 119 calendar days of employment. Employee must stay in full-time position to receive the whole bonus amount. Prospective employees hired for a Part-Time Direct Support Position will receive a $250 sign‐on bonus. New employee will receive the first $125 after completion of 30 calendar days of employment. The second $125 will be awarded after completion of 119 calendar days of employment. Employee must stay in part-time position to receive the whole bonus amount. Sign-on bonus is eligible for prospective employees hired from February 1, 2021 through March 31, 2021.
